As spooky season is upon us, the City of Celina is excited to be designated the official Halloween Capital of North Texas by Collin County Judge Chris Hill! It's no secret that Celina loves a good festival, and those who have attended Beware! of the Square know that it's one of the City's best.
Please help us show the rest of North Texas how we celebrate with style: come to Beware! of the Square Part 3 dressed in your best costume. This family-friendly, FREE Halloween festival will be held in the historic downtown square on Saturday, October 23 from 4 to 9 PM.
Beware! of the Square Part 3 will be the largest yet, bringing over 60,000 pieces of candy to the square for little monsters and goblins. Starting at 4 PM, vendors and participating downtown businesses will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. To secure your candy haul(s), stop by the Celina Ace Hardware booth near the Pecan Street entrance to get a themed jack o' lantern bag (while supplies last).
Our vendors for this event will be taking on an unusual twist as we are bringing out a thrilling selection of Halloween-themed vendors. Looking for some new decor for your home? Tradition is important to us here in Celina, and we love to highlight the things that bring us all together! The Celina Fire Department will be back at Beware! once again, leading a Thriller flash mob at 6:45 PM on the turf. Don't know the moves? No problem! We will have an instructional video on-site leading up to the flash mob.
We'll be closing out the evening with a Halloween classic, Hocus Pocus (PG) shown on the big screen at dark. Seating will be available on the bleachers or turf, feel free to get comfy and enjoy your candy haul during the flick! If you're spooked by the idea of a movie without popcorn, don't worry. Big D Kettle Corn will be nearby!
If that doesn't have you convinced to join us on the square for this spooktacular event, rest assured, there's more! A haunted house, escape rooms, pumpkin painting, themed photo ops, and a free kids zone with inflatables and rides (to name a few).
